With the same objective, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering offer postgraduates study by research mode at Masters of Science (MSc) level. This programme is designed to produce candidates with significant skill of conducting systematic research and prepare them for further study up to PhD level.

Name of programme: Masters of Science (MSc) by Research Mode

Study  mode:Full time research mode
            Part time research mode

Duration:  Full time (Minimum 2 semesters, maximum 6 semesters)
           Part time (Minimum 4 semesters, maximum 12 semesters)

Requirement of admission: 

  1. A Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.75


A Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related fields with CGPA lower than 2.75 will also be considered if they have vast experience in some specific areas of specialisation and approved by the School Board

  1. For international students, there is an additional English language requirement, which is:

A minimum score of 550 in TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)


A minimum score of 6.0 in IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
