Highlights:
Keynote addresses will be delivered by experts from academia and industry, including Prof. Otto Spaniol (Chair of Computer Science 4, RWTH Aachen University, Germany), Prof. Wai-Kiang (Albert) Yeap (Director for AI Research, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand), Mr. Vino Vinodrai (Wireless World Research Forum), and Mr. Johnson Tay (Agilent Technologies, Singapore).
A number of Best Paper Awards will be presented to high quality papers. Selected papers will also be recommended for publication in International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, Malaysian Journal of Computer Sciences, and Technical Journal of USM.

USM heralds the forthcoming event which is ROVISP 2007. This conference
will be held from 28th-30nd of November 2007 at Park Royal Hotel, the luxurious hotel in Penang Island, Malaysia. ROVISP 2007 will enable researchers, scientists, engineers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to present their research results and development activities in Pulau Penang,
the beautiful island of Malaysia popularly known as the "Pearl of the Orient".
ROVISP 2007 will cover a broad spectrum of research areas of common
interest and will pay particular attention to the industrial needs. Papers describing original work in, but not limited to, the following areas will be considered, for oral and poster presentations.
The suggested topics, although not limited to the areas below, include :
- Control, Robotics and Mechatronics
- Computer Vision, Image and Signal Processing
- Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Applications
- Power Systems and Industrial Applications
- Telecommunication Systems and Applications
- Electronic Design and Applications
