Welcome to the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. As a  founder member of the USM Engineering Campus, we are one of the largest and  most successful schools within the campus, with approximately 826 undergraduate and postgraduate students; 52 academic staff; and 38 administrative  and technical staff. As such we are a home of  a vibrant and diverse research community with activities spanning across the full range of electrical and electronic engineering spectrum.

The core of our activities surround the undergraduate and postgraduate courses that we  now delivering through three major disciplines – (i) Electronic Engineering, (ii) Electrical Engineering and (iii) Mechatronic Engineering. We have received full accreditation for our undergraduate and master programmes from the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)  and, where appropriate, from the Malaysia Qualifying Agency (MQA). This year  we yet again scored exceptionally well in the MQA rating  systems for Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia (SETARA) with an excellent Tier 5 category.
