Best Paper Award of 2016 IEEE Conference on Systems, Process and Control (ICSPC) won by Tan Ting Feng from School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering USM

Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) hogged the limelight again when student from the USM School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering won the Best Paper Award in the 2016 IEEE Conference on Systems, Process and Control (ICSPC) held in Malacca recently.

Tan Ting Feng who graduated recently achieved the feat with his teammate, Fow Jun Ee and supervisors consisting of Dr. Teoh Soo Siang and Dr. Yen Kin Sam.
Their paper entitled Embedded Human Detection System Based on Thermal and Infrared Sensors for Anti-Poaching Application was the outcome of Ting Feng’s final year project. They were awarded with a certificate and a plaque.
ICSPC provides an excellent platform for knowledge exchange between researchers in  Automation & Robotics; System Identification; Modeling & Simulation; Process & Control; Intelligent Systems; Optimization of Systems; Nonlinear Systems; Digital Control; Advancements in Computation; Algorithms for Control; Optimal and Robust Control; Emerging Areas and Control Applications in Other Areas.
Being an international conference, it gave the participants from Malaysia and overseas the opportunity to share research findings, and establish network and collaborations.
This programme was organised by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Control Systems Society (CSS) Malaysia Section Chapter.
