CALL FOR APPLICATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CERN SUMMER STUDENT PROGRAMME (CSSP) 2026

The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) is pleased to announce that Malaysia has been given the opportunity to nominate undergraduate and master's degree students in the fields of Physics, Engineering, Computing Science and/or Mathematics (at least in their third year) to apply for CERN Summer Student Programme (CSSP) 2026, which will be held for 8 to 13 weeks between June to September 2026.

The CSSP offers students with a unique opportunity to contribute to the research work conducted by teams involved in pioneering experiments at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. Participants will benefit from a comprehensive programme featuring expert- led lectures on topics such as theoretical and experimental particle physics, engineering, and computing, along with interactive workshops and discussion sessions. Beyond its exceptional scientific value, this programme offers a remarkable opportunity to engage in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, fostering meaningful connections with peers and esteemed scientists from around the world.
