Profile

Mohd Fadzli Mohd Salleh was born in Bagan Serai, Perak, Malaysia. He received the B.S. degree in Eelectrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, NY, U.S., in 1995. He received the M.S. degree in Communication Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), Manchester, U.K., in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, U.K., in 2006.

He was a Software Engineer in the Research and Development Department, Motorola Penang, until July 2001. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He has supervised twelve Ph.D. degree students to graduation. His research interests include source coding, signal processing for application in telecommunications and wireless communication networks. He is a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Research Interest

Lattice Vector Quantization Algorithms for Image and Video coding, Multiple Descriptions Coding for robust transmission, Wireless detection algorithms, Wavelet Based OFDM, Determination of the received signal parameters using Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods for Wireless Communication Systems, Buffer-Aided Relay for Cooperative Communication systems, and Energy Harvesting Protocols for Wireless Relaying Systems.
