M.Sc BY COURSEWORK

The School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering offers a Master of Science (Electronic System Design Engineering) by coursework. This one year, full time, graduate programme exposes students to up-to-date and practical aspects of Electronic System Design as well as advanced computing technologies and their applications. Students will also be fully trained with the capability in addressing engineering related problems of the industry.

The course duration is three semesters:

  • Semester 1 - Introduction
  • Semester 2 - Advanced Design
  • Semester 3 - Project

Course Sturcture

The course requires a minimum of 12 months on a full time basis. However, students interested to study on part time may do so subject to approval the The School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and this would require a minimum of 24 months.

The course divided into three semesters:

  • First and Second Semesters (14 weeks each)
    - Students follow a series of modules consisting of lectures, tutorials and laboratory work culminating in University examinations.
  • Third Semester (14 weeks)
    - In this semester, students are required to conduct and complete a project which will be represented in the form of a dissertation. Field visits to industries and other related establishment will be arranged where appropriate.

Examination

Continuous assessment will be conducted via assignments and coursework during the first two semesters. Students are required to sit for written examinations at the end of each semester.
