Dr Nur Syazreen Ahmad is an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia. Her expertise lies in the areas of control systems, sensor networks, and mobile robotics. Her current research focuses on autonomous mobile robots, emphasizing sensing technologies, system identification, intelligent control, and indoor navigation. She has secured multiple research grants and made substantial contributions to the field, with over 80 publications in reputable journals and conference proceedings. She was recently recognized by Stanford University among the Top 2% of Scientists in the World in her field, under the Citation Impact (Single Year 2025) category.
As the current coordinator of the NI Embedded System Laboratory at the USM Engineering Campus, Dr Syazreen has cultivated an environment that serves as a focal point for cutting-edge training programs. These programs aim to equip engineering students and professionals with hands-on experience in leveraging advanced tools and software for applications in industrial automation and embedded systems.
